We try hard to keep it to a biweekly announcement….maybe around the mulch sale you’ll see a few more requests for help. After all, it is our biggest event!!!!
Why is there a Booster Club?
The actual cost per athlete, per season is approximately $220 per athlete, after funding from MCPS and ticket sales. The Booster club fundraising helps to cover all sport needs (field and stadium maintenance to equipment) as well as team specific items. Team-specific examples include a swim and dive team computer for running meets, baseball and softball uniforms, and practice equipment. Last year over 60k was requested from Mr. Whitlow , our Athletic Director. Fortunately, we were able to assist. But as with most everything your child does, it takes parent assistance to keep the activities running properly and safely. Next year join us by becoming a member and/or donating your time and skills. Anything helps! See our membership program tab!
We are looking for parents who will serve as leaders in the Booster Club.
No experience necessary! Believe us we did it, learned lots and are ready to bring up the next crew!
Small and larger positions available. We have all positions available because those of us on the board would love some help. Let’s share the load and help RMHS maintain a robust athletic department with a school filled with spirit and pride.
Your support has allowed us to provide approximately $52,000 to the RM Athletic Program so far in the 2022-2023 school year.

Weight room: new weights with RM logo
New Scorer’s Table: basketball, wrestling and volleyball (should be received in spring 2023)
Neptunes: laptop with preloaded music and local business commercials for games
Swim and Dive: laptop, printer, battery for the starter
Cross Country: paint, running bibs/numbers, finish line flags, caution tape
Baseball: uniforms, baseballs
Softball: softballs, practice equipment
Baseball and softball: items needed for upkeep of the fields
Track and Cross Country: new timer
Lacrosse: new helmets, some uniform replacements, balls, elbow pads
All teams: Officials, additional security, and tournament fees
Support RM Athletes!
The RM Boosters Club is a volunteer lead 501c3 organization. Funds we receive go directly to purchase supplies for RM teams without any administrative fees. Funds are used to supplement what MCPS has allotted annually. Requests are submitted through the Athletic Specialist and have included both large and small items -such as new equipment and uniforms. Your support each year helps create approximately 700 opportunities for students to become high school athletes.
