What are examples of ‘all sport’ fundraising events?
Our Booster club is designed to support all teams. Funds raised or collected go to a general fund to be distributed based on need and request. The RM Athletic Boosters offer many ways to raise funds for the athletic program throughout the school year. Dine Out Nights, Golf Outings, Rocktoberfest, and the Mulch sale are a few. Family and corporate sponsorships are welcomed. We are planning to have more continual advertising avenues with a new electronic scoretable for volleyball, wrestling, and basketball games. Please contact us , if you are interested in helping out or advertising!
Team-specific fundraisers can be a tremendous boost to team spirit. They can be easy to arrange, but to hold a team-specific fundraiser you must get permission from the Principal and Athletic Specialist.
If you want the help from the Boosters for a clinic or some larger event, please give us about 4-6 weeks to set up and adequately advertise the event on our software platforms/social media/Booster blasts. (Start planning at the beginning of your season or before!)
Once you get permission to hold an event here is how the Booster Club can support you.
1. Help establish prices based on prior results, if this is a recurring event.
2.Create a registration link on Eventbrite for attendees and collect fees through this site. (Together we need to figure out a start and end date for registration. Give yourself enough time to buy supplies prior to the event!)
3.Publicize the event through our online resources; Booster Blast, the Principal’s newsletter, and other community outlets i.e. Cluster School Facebook groups.
4. Treasurer will maintain a record of your funds.
Here are some things your group should consider:
Provide enough time to allow you to figure out Where, When, and How the event will take place -people, supplies needed. Do you need a parent or student volunteer to be present to help with attendees? Is there a rain date? Will you be able to refund their money if they have to cancel after a certain date? Then contact us. (To work out the details in Eventbrite it may take a couple of days- emails going back and forth. )
