Richard Montgomery High School serves a diverse population of approximately 2,000 students in grades 9 through 12. Our school is located in Rockville, Maryland, a suburb of Washington D.C.

The RM Athletic Booster Club would like to thank everyone who helped out this year with the many events and projects supporting the athletic department. Because of the volunteers and funds raised this year, we were able to accomplish the following: |
- Helped fund the baseball and softball scoreboards to be installed on the fields
- Helped fund new flagpoles to be installed in Roy Lester Stadium
- Staffed the outdoor concession stand for fall and spring sports
- Provided teams and other school groups the opportunity to staff concessions and make a portion of the profits for their organizations
- Provided team and action photos along with RM special event photos through "Eye on the Ball"
- Organized and staffed pot-luck dinners for fall, winter, and spring sports teams and their parents
- Sold spirit-wear to RM students, parents, alumni, and the community
- Held successful fundraisers, including the spring mulch sale, on-line auctions, and the Mike Curtis Golf Tournament
- Organized and hosted an RM alumni tailgate party for homecoming
- Donated money to RM's Post-Prom
- Paid for storage cabinets in Roy Lester Stadium's ticket booth
- Helped organize and promote the Roy Lester Stadium and Gordon Coleman Baseball Field dedication ceremonies
- Paid for the flags representing the county high schools that are flying in the stadium
- Paid for the restoration of the center basketball court medallion from the old RM gymnasium and its installation in the new building
- Promoted sprit-night events at RM
- Funded and presented scholarships to four senior RM student-athletes
- Paid for the installation of irrigation pipes on the practice field as a part of a future irrigation system to be approved by MCPS
- Worked with the SGA to help fund and support ‘Ritchie Rocket”, RM’s new mascot
- Paid for plaques showcasing RM athletes, which are displayed in the school
- Organized the retrieval and refurbishment of the old RM Rocket, which will be installed in the stadium
- Supported the REAL Maryland professional soccer team by promoting their events and helping work concessions
As you can see, we had a busy year! The RM Athletic Booster club meets the first Wednesday of every month in the RM cafeteria at 7:00 pm. Please come to a meeting and see what we're all about! Parents of incoming students are very much needed and encouraged to attend.
Congratulations to our 2009-2010 Booster Club Officers!
The Booster Club is very happy to announce its officers for the 2009-2010 school year. Kevin Brooks will return as Booster President, Elaine Koubek will serve as Booster Vice President, Ryan Fleming and Helen Blankfeld will handle the Treasurer duties, and Cindi Brooks will return as the Booster Club Secretary.
Other Booster members will take on or continue other Booster efforts for the next year. Chris Kelly will continue as the Booster Membership chair, Cheryl Hoover will again orgainze the spring mulch sale, Kevin Brooks loves working on the Mike Curtis golf tournament, Dolores Barnes and Cathy Muha will serve as Social Chairs and Booster Club liaisons to Julius West Middle School, Donna Fuqua, Lisa Fumai, and Helen Blankfeld will coordinate merchandise sales, and Lisa Hill will be the Booster liaison to RM alumni. If YOU have an idea or special skill, we'd love to hear from you! Please join us!
We're In the conclusion of a great RM athletic year, and we're counting on your support! Join the RM Booster Club! We've opened a new stadium and athletic complex this fall - and the new baseball and softball fields opened this spring. The Boosters have several membership levels and each has its benefits, such as season tickets, discounts on RM spiritwear, and specific team donations.
